The AES 30th International Conference will bring together researchers and developers in the field of intelligent audio environments. The subject matter covers a wide range of topics related to sound capture, analysis, transmission, and reproduction. Through sound capture and analysis, sound source locations may be tracked and their signals separated based upon their acoustic characteristics. Transmission allows for part or all of the signals to be effectively delivered to other locations for effective and plausible reproduction. Advanced analysis and transmission methods are expected to enable new types of control of the audio environment.

The AES 30th Conference Committee invites submission of technical papers for presentation at the conference in northern Finland. By 24 October 1 November 2006, a full paper of 4-10 pages should be electronically submitted to the AES 30th Conference paper-submission site at http://www.aes.org/30th_authors. Further information for authors and paper templates will also be available from this site. Acceptance of papers will be based on a peer review of full papers with final selection by the conference review committee. Following acceptance, appropriate revisions based on the comments of the reviewers will be allowed, but no substantial rewriting. Revised papers must be submitted by January 15, 2007.
